Credentials

“Doug’s gifts as a coach are not dissimilar from those that have also made him a gifted actor.  His instincts and emotions run deep to say the least, and he regards each of his clients with the same compassion, respect and unbridled support that a great director would bring to the characters of Shakespeare, Chekov, or Tennessee Williams. He can quickly build trusting relationships, allowing him to access his clients’ most true visions for their futures while reflecting and dismantling the limiting beliefs that are preventing them from realizing those visions.  Doug sees his clients in a truly special way that inspires them to step into their highest and best possibilities for themselves.”

Molly Curry, MBA

My view of credentials is unique. Of course I want my doctor to have an MD, but I’ve worked with well-credentialed coaches who simply were too young and lacked life experience that matched mine.

If I have two kids and am going through marital challenges, I need to work with someone who has lived that.

I have an MBA, extensive business experience, and significant coaching training. That is all important, but not enough by themselves. Raising kids, being married, navigating changes in that marriage, getting sober, and trying things far outside my comfort zone have given me the raw material, the soul stuff, that makes my coaching excellent. I’ve run a half-Ironman and five marathons. I’ve trained as an actor, landed an agent, landed numerous jobs in TV, film, and theatre. I’ve written and performed stand-up comedy. I’m writing a book. I make amazing bread from scratch. So on and so forth. These are the credentials I actually rely upon in our work together.

I offer a free discovery session because coaching requires a good connection to be productive; it is our opportunity to ensure we are a good fit.

Thank you! Doug
